Update on Carter...

Carters surgery was a great success. The surgery lasted about 6 hours (can you imagine?) and the doctors replaced the faulty valve with a replacement human valve (there were a couple of a valve options..artificial, human, pig..if you watch Greys Anatomy you know what I am talking about) and we weren't sure what valve they would be using..anyway it human if anyone was wondering! Carter is doing great and was starting to wake up as I was leaving...what a trooper! Thank you to all of the sweet comments and thank you for praying for him (please continue to pray for him as he heals!)
On a side note, Nate has had croup for the last couple days...remember my whole post on the great sleep I was going to get while Benson camped out...yeah, that's karma biting me..I was up all night with Nate and his terrible cough..poor kid :(

I pull so much strength from these special children who have nothing easy in their lives, brings you back to earth when you see something like that. Were going to the park tonight if you want to come, we are riding our bikes there around 6 pm
