Sammy Snow Skiing

Benson decided he wanted to teach Sammy how to snow ski this year...so the last day of Christmas Break they drove up to Snowbowl for a day and skied!  They both had tons of fun and Benson says she is a natural!  Such a proud moment for him! 

The Day AFTER Christmas

After the fun-filled weekend it was very nice to stay around the house and play with all our new toys...Sammy roller skated around, the boys put together all their legos, played outside...and I got to play with my new camera!  A very nice and relaxing day!

CHRISTMAS

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas!  Santa was very good to us this year!  The kids all got what was on their list and everyone was very happy!  We spent the morning playing with our new toys...then went to church (I wish Christmas was always on Sunday)!  Then we went to the Jones' for the next round of dinner and gifts!  So much fun!

 I didn't take too many pictures on Christmas Day...I get so caught up in the moment!  Lucy got lots of fun toys...a Strawberry shortcake house and a grocery cart was her favorites!

 Sammy really wanted the "look like me" American girl doll and books...very excited to get those!

 All Ben wanted was the Black Pearl lego set...

 I was FOR SURE on the nice list this year...very surprised!  I actually got the Bosch a little early when my Kitchen Aid decided to stop working in the middle of December...so Benson wrapped it up and gave it to me early!  So, I really wasn't expecting anything on Christmas morning...but Benson surprised me with a new Rebel!  I have really wanted one...and its a fun camera!

The kids also got lots of new Wii games and new remotes...lots of fun!

Christmas Eve

We woke up to a note from Billy (our elf) letting us know that we have all been good and to remember to be good ALL year long!

 Then Benson decided to "open" his present early and take the kids for a bike ride on his new beach cruiser!

 We always celebrate Christmas Eve with the Bashfords...first we had a yummy dinner and then the kids act out the nativity...here is 2 of the wisemen...

 Maile helped Lucy dress up as the Shepherd..

 And Sammy was "Sammy the Lamanite"...

 Lucy was a Shepherd but decided instead of leading Luke and Carson in...she would rather just catch a ride on Carson's back...she had us laughing so hard!

 After the Nativity...we had a talent show...Sammy played the piano, Ben showed us his mad snapping skills, Nate danced, and Lucy sang "Baby, Baby" (by Justin Bieber)

 Then we decorated our cookies for Santa...

When we came home the kids found that the elves had left them some jammies...

the EVE of Christmas Eve

One of my VERY favorite traditions happens on this night!  Its when we celebrate Christmas with just our family!  With both of our families living here (which is great) our holidays are usually jam packed full of fun!  So a couple years ago we started this new tradition!  We have a nice dinner...the kids get to open their presents from each other (we draw names), we watch a Christmas movie and ALL sleep in the living room with the Christmas tree lights!  It is so much fun!

The kids are so excited to open their gifts...

 Nate drew Lucy's name and he knew exactly what he wanted to get her..a "baby doll"... She loved it...

 Sammy drew Nate's name and bought him the "socker bopper" punching balloon things...he was very excited...

 Lucy drew Ben's name and bought him a Cardinals football...

 Ben drew Sammy's name and he picked out some lip gloss and a book he thought she would like...

 The kids also gave us the gifts they picked for us...my favorite gifts...a new mug, a huge diamond paper weight, and a music box

 Then we set up the beds (jumped on the beds)...watched Home Alone and slept under the tree...so much fun!
