Little Jags

Sammy did the cheer clinic at the High School and was able to cheer in the first quarter of the football game on Friday!  She loved it!

Lemonade for Sale

Over Fall Break my kids were DYING to have a cookie and lemonade sale to "raise money" for the book fair (aka they wanted to buy lots of books at the fair)...yeah, we support good causes like that!!  They were very serious about it and everyone had their own jobs...Sammy was the manager of course and she and her friend were in charge of the stand and Ben and Nate decorated their bikes and rode around the neighborhood looking for people to sell too.

picnic at the park

"The biggest mistake I made [as a parent] is the one that most of us make....I did not live in the moment enough. This is particularly clear now that the moment is gone, captured only in photographs. There is one picture of [my three children] sitting in the grass on a quilt in the shadow of the swing set on a summer day, ages six, four, and one. And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less." -- Anna Quindlen

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Mother Nature Farms with MOST of my family last week and had such a FUN time!! It at least SORT OF felt like fall!  All the kids got to pick and decorate a pumpkin and we went on a hay ride!

Childrens Museum

The other day we met some friends at the Mesa Childrens Museum (and bought a year pass...if anyone wants to go again)!  I am loving doing all of these things again!  I am having so much fun with Lucy at home!!  I wish my kids would never grow up!

Student of the Week!

After years of watching Sammy and Ben make posters about themselves and bring all their favorite things to school to tell their classes all about them...It was finally Nate's turn!  A couple of weeks ago Nate was student of the week in his Kindergarten class and felt like he was king of the world!
