MUFFINS WITH MOM

The 1st grade at our school always does a "Muffins with Mom" for Mother's Day! Ben was so excited for me to come and I was even more excited to spend some time with my favorite 7 year old! He made me so many wonderful things...including the necklace I am wearing. And we dined on chocolate muffins and lemonade. He served me my treat and made sure I saw the place mat he made just for me.

After the kids sang us some special songs...."make sure you can see me mom because I am going to hold something up for you!"

They also made us some special things that will be added to my personal treasure box....

I totally only weigh 31 pounds. It says the food like best is "me" when I ask him about it he said "because you always say you want to eat me up"

My favorite food is noodles but I don't like Chuck E Cheese Pizza (gross, right?)

He told me "this was my 2nd picture...I drew a picture of me for your favorite food and my teacher said I had to do another one because she didn't think I was your favorite food...but I know that I am"

True, I do spend most of my time driving in the car

I daydream about snuggling...Ben "this is a picture of you snuggling me in your bed"

I love making cookies :)

My personal favorite...If I had one wish it would be to hug Ben! He was so proud of this one...all the moms at the table were sharing their wish "to go on a cruise", "to have a million dollars"....but Ben proudly said to me "Mom, I know all you want from me is a hug!"


Times like this I want to freeze time and make sure Ben never grows up! Love that kid!

Amazing Weekend!

I had the most amazing weekend! First of all, I turned the big 3-1! What the heck? How did I get old? I feel like I am like 21...but somehow I am not! Anyway, life is good...so I can't complain!
Benson said the "pressure was on"...my Birthday and Mothers Day in the SAME weekend was too much for him! But he definitely pulled through!

Friday...I was PAMPERED at Dolce all day...massage, pedicure, hair style, lunch, and a spray tan! Then he gave me some money to go shopping at the mall. When I got home...we immediately left on our date...Kona Grill and more shopping!

Saturday (my actual Birthday)...we started the day off with the boys baseball games, then came home to open my presents from the kids...they got me a bunch of treats and a SNOW CONE MACHINE...how fun will that be all summer long? I have already made myself a bunch of coke zero slushes :)

Then I went to lunch with a bunch of friends...can't beat Crackers! And came home to a clean house (including the pantry) and fresh flowers on the table!

And we took the kids to Joes Farm Grill for dinner and came home to cake and ice cream!

Sunday...I got to sleep in while Benson and the kids made breakfast...and I opened my gifts from the kids...I LOVE the homemade gifts and I even cried when I read Sammy's card!

Teacher Appreciation!

Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week! My kids have the BEST teachers in the world! We love them so much! I bought them all some gerber daisies...which happen to be my favorite! When I got home with them Ben's smile quickly faded to a sad face...I ask him what was wrong and he told me his teachers favorite flowers were tulips and that he REALLY wanted to get her those! I explain to him that I am SURE she likes daisies too...he says "No mom she said tulips are her FAVORITE" I happen to run into his teacher that evening and I thought it was so cute that Ben thought that so I mentioned that he told me! She said that WEEKS ago she mentioned that she liked tulips and couldn't believe he remembered! Ben has such a sweet heart and is the BEST gift giver ever! Well, needless to say...you can tell by the pictures that I went and bought tulips...and Ben was SO EXCITED to give them to his teacher!!

Swim Lessons

Lucy started swim lessons! She is always very excited to go...but when we get there and sees Ms. Sarah...she remembers that she hates it and screams and cries the whole time! Hopefully she isn't too traumatized!

Happy To You!

My Baby is TWO!! I can't believe it. She loved for us to sing "Happy Birthday" to her...but she would always say "Happy to you!" It was so cute! We celebrated as a family the day before because on her ACTUAL Birthday...the boys were leaving for Fathers and Sons! So we had a little water party and she got to try our her new swim suit :) Lucy is OBSESSED with Toy Story! Especially Jessie...so we had a major theme going with her gifts!

On her ACTUAL Birthday we had a girls night!! We went out with my sister and her little girl who was also celebrating her Birthday (the day before)! We decided to go to Chandler Mall and eat at Old Spaghetti Factory!

Lucy was SO excited when the waiters sang "Happy Birthday" to her!

On Sunday morning...she finally got her Bunny Rabbit pancake (a Bashford tradition)!

Talent Show

Sammy performed "Hedwigs Theme" (the Harry Potter theme song) at the school Talent Show!

She was very excited...and nervous! But she did fabulous! She is very brave!

Easter

We dyed Easter Eggs...

Lucy really liked finding the eggs until she realized that there was candy in them....then the hunt was over and she just sat and ate the candy :)
