Mother Nature Farms

For Family Night we went to Mother Nature Farms with some of my family!!  That is a super cute place!  The kids loved the hay-ride! Although..we had several mishaps with people having to jump off to get shoes that had fallen off!  And they loved picking out pumpkins to decorate!  I wish we would have gone earlier in the evening so it wasn't so dark!  But the weather was perfect...and it was a fun night!

So I came downstairs and found saw this IN our light in our entryway (yes, its a SHOE!)

I ask the kids who did it...the all denied it..and Nate had to hide his HUGE smile under his shirt...the kid KNOWS he can't keep a straight face while he is LYING!!

Yummy Spider Webs!!!

I saw this super cute idea on another blog (I can't remember which blog...I guess I was hopping around too much) and thought Nate would LOVE to do these!  So this morning we made a couple for our before school snack :)  Start by putting some pretzels on WAX paper in a circle...

 Melt some chocolate chips (I used milk chocolate because that is what I had) and put it in a Ziploc baggie and cut off the tip...then drizzle the chocolate in circles around the pretzels...

Put in the freezer...oh, put the wax paper on a cookie sheet to make transporting easier :)...anyway, freeze for about 20-30 minutes!  I'm sure the fridge would work well too...but I didn't have that kinda room in my fridge!

 You know they are done chilling when the chocolate doesn't look glossy anymore..

 Then enjoy...yummy!  I love a salty-sweet treat!!

Fall Festival

We live in a FABULOUS neighborhood that is always having parties...we love it!  Benson was gone so he missed out this year!  I didn't get very many pictures because my kids were off playing with their friends and Lucy was busy keeping all the teenagers entertained...that I just sat back, ate, and socialized!  Super fun night!  If you are interested in LIVING in this neighborhood...I know a house that is for sale (just sayin') ;)

Fun Saturday

Benson was out of town last week...so we decided to play on Saturday instead of doing chores (really, who wants to do chores anyway?!?) First we went to Krispy Kremes for FREE donuts (luckily Sammy got all A's on her report card and got enough donuts for everyone!) Then off to the mall...Lucy was TERRIFIED of the carousel (which she has always loved!)...and later we went to McDonalds for lunch...bought some flowers and planted them in the front yard!  Oh yeah, and our neighborhood had a rockin' party (more of that later!)

Can't Get Enough...

Sammy loves to play piano and is practicing every chance she can get!  My favorite is when I hear her playing and I can hear some little banging going on along with the music!  Lucy LOVES her big sister and I love their little duets!

Parent Teacher Conference...

Nate preschool teachers decided to do a little Parent Teacher Conference at our house...Nate was SOOOO excited to show them his room and all his toys!  We LOVE Ms. Kami and Ms. Kathy!

Lucy Loves Lipstick

Lucy's VERY favorite thing to do lately is play in my make up drawer...and her FAVORITE is LIPSTICK!!! If she is ever QUIETLY playing...I know she is in the drawer! She throws the biggest fit when I take the lipstick away...notice she even rubs it on her lips (along with everywhere else!)

Plane Park

One day Meredith invited us to the "PLANE PARK"...I drove around FOREVER looking for a park...only to find out its just a hill to play on while you watch the planes take off....the kids had a lot of fun doing this and playing with their cousins!!

For some reason...this is one of my FAVORITE Fall traditions! Making Doughnuts! This was our Family Home Evening activity this week...and it did not dissappoint! Frying the doughnuts...
