Nate's Haircut

Last night we had a babysitter...after the kids were put to bed EVIDENTLY my sweet little Nate decided his hair was too long and he would remedy that.... can you believe this? There was hair ALL OVER the bathroom and the scissors were HIDDEN! He knew he was going to be BUSTED! The babysitter didn't even know it happened...and neither did the other kids until this morning! The worst part about it...he thinks it looks good! Nate loves to do anything for a LAUGH...so he thinks it looks funny (aka...good) AND I just paid MONEY for him to get his hair cut...if he was going to do this why didn't he do LAST weekend before his haircut...

Needless to say..he got a buzz this morning..and we had to cut it SUPER SHORT...he looks like a cancer patient!

THANK GOODNESS he is a BOY!!

Lucy's new toy!

Our weather has been A-MAZ-ING lately...and we have spend most of the day outdoors! We bought Lucy her own little swing and she has been swinging her days away watching everyone run around!

Valentines Day Weekend

Doesn't she look so sad? Little Lucy was sick all last week and was totally miserable... Nate came off the bus on Friday YELLING..."I'M A LOVE BUG"..

Aunt Reagan gave these boys some new firefighter hats for their Birthdays...they have been playing Firefighters since then...

Friday night Sammy had a dance performance...Nate was totally amazed by the band and was most likely a huge distraction to the drummer who he kept talking to...

Carnival of Animals

Last night was Sammy's 2nd Grade Musical...A Carnival of Animals! It was so darn cute..they were all dressed up as different animals and sang songs, did dances, and had little speaking parts...I was really impressed! Here's a pic of the whole 2nd Grade...

Oh, my little Ben...how can I be mad at him?? He has been having a little trouble paying attention at school lately and has been writing on his desk and chair with markers...we had a talk today and decided he needed to write his teacher a note to apologize...

If you can't read it...it says...

Happy 6th Birthday Ben!!

We started out the day with Ben's FAVORITE breakfast...monkey bread! Then off to school...Ben with his FABULOUS teacher (isn't she so cute?)...his class is singing "Happy Birthday" to him and he requested they add "cha-cha-cha"

Time for donuts...yes, I brought in Krispy Kremes and hats for everyone!

So, I tell myself that I only do Birthday Parties on odd years...but on the even years I feel so bad that we don't do much...so I let Ben have a little mini-party and we invited two of his buddies over...

And played balloon games...took me FOREVER to put those streamers up...one of the times I was WISHING I was just a little bit TALLER!!

And had cupcakes...

Then off to the movies...where I loaded them up with sugar (candy, popcorn, and HUGE Icee's for everyone...that's how we roll)

After the movies we needed to burn off some sugar (monkey bread, donuts, cupcakes, ice cream, candy...) so we went to the park to play catch with Ben's new glove! He was so excited to play catch with his Dad!

He's a LEFTY...

Ben shares a Birthday with my Dad...so we went to Peter Piper with my parents and sister Erin and her family for dinner...the kids were so excited to play the games!

All Ben wanted for his Birthday was this Wolverine hand thing...

He was so excited that his Gramma Jones bought it for him!! I think Ben had the BEST Birthday EVER!!!

Ben is at such a fun age...I can't believe he is SIX YEARS OLD already! He is quickly learning to read and do some addition! He loves learning but DOES NOT LIKE to write...says it makes him sleepy! His favorite movie is G-FORCE and SPEED RACER and he loves to play SPIES! He is such a cute kid and we are so grateful to have him in our family!!
