Baby Lucy

Today, I went and had a 3-D ultrasound!! I have never had one before and I thought it was so awesome (thanks Jenn)! It was so fun to see my pretty little baby and made everything seem so real! I have to say...she is really cute and I think she looks just like Samantha! Just in case anyone was worried that my baby would be a small waif of a thing...have no fear she will be nice and round just like the rest of my babies!
It was amazing how chubby she was...I loved all the little fat rolls!
Jenn assured me that she doesn't have a hole in her head :)

Seriously, look at that double chin and the fat rolls on her arm

No more pictures...I love the detail of her hand!
Here is a non 3-D pic (is it 2-D or 1-D, I don't know) but its of her face and her CHEEKS!

Brothers

We are frantically (okay, I'm frantic...Benson not so much) trying to get ready for our new baby girl. The fact that Nate was still in the crib wasn't a good sign...so Benson started making the boys some new bunk beds. The boys are so excited for their new big boy beds!! We bought the full mattress on Saturday and decided to let the boys start sleeping on that so we could also get the crib out and start getting the "girls" room ready (Sammy is SO EXCITED that the baby gets to sleep in her room, but doesn't understand why she needs a crib because she just wants the baby to sleep in her bed with her).

The other night I went to check on the boys and this is what I saw....

Yes, Nate's head is between Ben's legs...seriously, isn't that hilarious?? We did move them but had to take a picture first!

I will post the pictures of the finished product of the girls and boys room soon (hopefully)!!

My Heart

Can I just tell you how much I LOVE my little Ben? He has the sweetest heart and is so sensitive and nice! I know I have mentioned this on the blog before but he has been so sensitive to me during my pregnancy and always offering to help me and is constantly reminding me to not lay on my back or bend over...so helpful!
But the other day, I was having an "emotional" day (you know what I am talking about) and I was just having a bad day...out of nowhere Ben says to me "Mom, my heart belongs to you"
My heart melted...I was speechless. Than he said "Do you know what that means? It means that my heart loves you" and I told him "My heart loves you too".

Seriously, those are the moments that make all this hard mothering stuff worth it...I love that kid!

Valentines Party!

We celebrated with homemade heart pizza
The kids loved watching it bake

And whats a party without root beer??

Then we had a Valentines treasure hunt

All the kids had their own clues

And the treasure was a big "chocolate chip"!

Then we all made our own Valentines for each other

And had homemade Boston Cream Cake...yummy!
We also watched Beauty and the Beast (no picture)!

The kids were so excited for Valentine's Day (Sammy couldn't sleep the week before she was just too excited) so Benson and I decided to go out the weekend before and party with the kids on the night of Valentines! When I went to the store to buy the ingredients for the pizza...I decided to get a block of mozzarella instead of pre-shredded cheese (I like block cheese better but lately the convenience of pre shredded has just been to easy). So when we were making the pizza I got out the cheese grater and my kids thought it was fascinating...they all had to take a turn grating the cheese...it was like a new invention! Benson and I were dying that our kids had never seen a cheese grater before!
It was a really fun night!! Happy Valentines Day!

MCC Game

Samantha's dance group performed at the MCC Basketball half time! She did such a great job and it is fun to see her progress in dance and tumbling! She loves to perform and of course wearing all the glitter and make up doesn't hurt either!
The boys loved going to this game they loved the "eagle" that was giving them things and coming to give them hi-fives! And all the excitement of the game!

Student of the Week!

Samantha was FINALLY student of the week last week (she had been waiting all year to be chosen)! Her teacher sent a note home saying all the lucky things she would be able to do...of course, she was excited about the poster and we had to spend lots of time planning and prepping for it! She also got to bring in a special treat (ice cream sandwiches) and have a special visitor (me) come and read her favorite book (Olivia)!

Also...notice we chopped off her hair..this isn't the best picture but it looks so cute! I'm so glad I talked her into it! I love it!
