So its been an exciting week...that is why I need a blog. Monday, I drop Samantha over at a friends house to play and the whole car ride over she is just chit chatting away. We get to the girls house and Samantha looks up at her mom and says "I am not going to be able to play that much because my ear really hurts." I look at her in shock...she has never mentioned to me that her ear hurt so I said "what?" (realizing that this mom is totally judging me for bringing my injured child to her house and not even being aware that she is injured) and she says "Oh, I forgot to tell you...my ear really hurts". I am in total disbelief when I look at her ear and her earring hole is oozing with blood and her earring back is missing. I conclude she has an infection and the mom of the girl goes to get me some stuff to clean it as I try to take her earring out....STUCK.. so I pull harder (I know I am mean) and I get it out finally. Meanwhile Samantha is screaming and as I am cleaning her ear I can see a little piece of silver...HER WHOLE EARRING BACK IS STUCK INSIDE HER EARRING HOLE! Have you ever heard of such a thing? Me either. So the mom of the little girl holds her arms and I pop the earring back out. It was torture. But as soon as it was out she said she felt better and went off and played like nothing had happened. That night I took her to Claires and we conclude that she is allergic to the earrings she got for Christmas (dang Santa!) and that she will need to wear 14k gold earrings from now on. Poor girl. Not only did she have to go through this traumatic experience...but she has to be limited on her earring choices for the rest of her life.

Happy Birthday Ben!
This week Ben celebrated his 4th Birthday...its so hard to believe. He is soo much fun. He has such a great little personality and to me it just seems like everyone loves Ben (maybe I am biased). He is just the kind of person you want to be around. SO here are my top 10 things I love about Ben (in no paricular order)...
1. Ben has the most contagious laugh I have ever heard....even when he is in trouble I find myself cracking up at him.
2. He LOVES Sparky...he is a huge ASU football fan!
3. He is very coordinated...he can already ride a bike with no training wheels.

3. He is very coordinated...he can already ride a bike with no training wheels.
4. He is obsessed with Root Beer. I can get him to do almost anything if I promise him a root beer after.
5. He loves to show everyone how fast he is. There is nothing better than a race.
6. He knows all of the names of heavy machinery (ie excavators, back hoes) and corrects me if I call something the wrong name.
7. He loves his bear bear...he received a blue bear from his Aunt Reagan when he was born and he can't sleep with out it.
8. He loves his daddy...Every single morning the first thing he says to me is "wheres daddy?"
9. For his Birthday all he ask for was 1. white bread (I guess I buy too much wheat) 2. big apples (I always buy the bags of apple slices from Costco) and 3. to bring doughnuts to his preschool class....how easy is that.
10. He is so cuddly. He always asks me to snuggle with him...I love it.
For his Birthday...we had a little Pirate Party for some of his school and church friends. Ben kept saying "a party...for me?" He couldn't believe he got to have his OWN party. On his actual Birthday we had dinner (Ben picked pancakes...so easy) and cake and ice cream with our family and both sets of granparents. Ben shares a Birthday with his Papa Jones so it is fun that they can celebrate together.
Silly Nathan!
I had to post this picture...mainly because I think it was my ultimate inspiration for my blog. I had been checking peoples blogs out and I would always think "I would like to start a blog but I have nothing to blog about" so as little things would happen in my life sometimes I would think..."Too bad I don't have a blog because this is funny"...so I decided that I would start one when the other day Nathan was "down for a nap" and I came in and found this...the picture doesn't even do the situation justice. He emptied all of the drawers that he could reach, emptied all the bins in his closet, took off his shirt, and than feel asleep. The kicker of the whole thing is that he put a blanket on himself before he fell asleep.
Disneyland
We recently went to Disneyland with all of my family to celebrate my Mom's Birthday. We surprised her and the kids. We had SOOO much fun. Samantha and Ben were tall enough to ride on most of the big rides. Samantha was so proud that she rode Space Mountain 2 times. But the highlight for her was...lunch at Ariels Grotto. We had never been there and it was so yummy and great to see so many princesses in one sitting. Never again will I spend my time waiting in line to get a pictures with a Princess. Samantha LOVES Sleeping Beauty and was so excited to be able to talk to her and get her picture taken.
Ben was so funny he was just under 40 inches so most of the time they let them on but there were a couple of times that he couldn't get on the ride (like Space Mountain...and he cried forever saying "I just want to fly in space" ). So when we were waiting in line for Soaring over California we were a little bit nervous that they wouldn't let him on. So we were practicing holding his breath and standing as tall as he can...anyway, when we get to the spot where they measure him he stood so tall and the guy says "ok, he can ride" and Ben turns around, punches the air, and looks at us and says "Heck yeah! You see me big?"
Nathan loved everything...especially the trains. But lucky for us he pretty much thought every ride was a train and yelled "all aboard!" every time we got on a ride. I just couldn't get enough of it either so if he forgot I would make sure to remind him to say it... Everyone else was probably sick of it...sorry guys! And of course, he loved seeing Lightning McQueen and Mater. My boys are more than obsessed with cars!
We rode Pirates of the Carribean like 7 times because Ben and Nathan just couldn't get enough. We really had a great trip...now I just need to talk Benson into getting season passes.
I finally did it!
After months of looking at other peoples blogs...I decided to start one. So I guess here it goes...
