So its been an exciting week...that is why I need a blog. Monday, I drop Samantha over at a friends house to play and the whole car ride over she is just chit chatting away. We get to the girls house and Samantha looks up at her mom and says "I am not going to be able to play that much because my ear really hurts." I look at her in shock...she has never mentioned to me that her ear hurt so I said "what?" (realizing that this mom is totally judging me for bringing my injured child to her house and not even being aware that she is injured) and she says "Oh, I forgot to tell you...my ear really hurts". I am in total disbelief when I look at her ear and her earring hole is oozing with blood and her earring back is missing. I conclude she has an infection and the mom of the girl goes to get me some stuff to clean it as I try to take her earring out....STUCK.. so I pull harder (I know I am mean) and I get it out finally. Meanwhile Samantha is screaming and as I am cleaning her ear I can see a little piece of silver...HER WHOLE EARRING BACK IS STUCK INSIDE HER EARRING HOLE! Have you ever heard of such a thing? Me either. So the mom of the little girl holds her arms and I pop the earring back out. It was torture. But as soon as it was out she said she felt better and went off and played like nothing had happened. That night I took her to Claires and we conclude that she is allergic to the earrings she got for Christmas (dang Santa!) and that she will need to wear 14k gold earrings from now on. Poor girl. Not only did she have to go through this traumatic experience...but she has to be limited on her earring choices for the rest of her life.

Welcome to the blogging world! Now we can keep better tabs on each other! Your kids are so grown up. We need to get them together soon!
Oh, the trauma we have had with earrings! I hope she feels better.
