My little nephew, Carter (my sister Erin's little boy) was born with Down Syndrome and several heart defects. When he was a baby he had to have open heart surgery..everything went well and he has had little to no health problems in the last 4 years since the surgery. Several months ago the doctors discovered that one of his heart valves was not functioning properly so on Monday morning Carter will be having open heart surgery. I know some of my "readers" (or what I like to call" loyal fans") know my sister and some of you don't but if you could please keep Carter and his family in your prayers that would be so great. He is such a sweet little guy and we pray that his surgery will be successful so he can go on and live his happy life (without future surgeries)! We love you Carter!

Tell Erin we will be thinking of them tomorrow. I will let Nicole know too so that she can go and keep Erin company if she is at that hospital this week.
What a cute little guy! He will diff. be in our thoughts and prays! It breaks my heart to see a child have to go through this. Keep us updated!

Hey lady! Erin will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers this week! Colette was faithful and did let me know. If I get floated to the Thomas campus this week I will stop by and give Erin a hug! Not sure if I will be there since I was floated there on Thursday...but maybe...
What a handsom little guy! I remember when he ws born. I'll be thinking about them. he's so lucky to have such a loving family around him!
