My idea of camping!
I am NOT a camper...Benson teases me because I once told him that when I was growing up my family would go "camping" but stay in a hotel (we would go to the ward camp outs and stay for the evening festivities than go stay in a hotel than come back in the morning for breakfast)...I think this is a BRILLIANT idea! That being said...this weekend we went "camping". It started off with a morning hike with our friends, the Richeys. Then we went about our day as usual (a little conference, a little cleaning, a little running errands). While Benson was at Priesthood...the kids and I got ready for the continuation of our "camping trip". Once Benson got home..we ate smores (made in the microwave..not quite the same, for the record), then we set up the tent and played with our flashlights and told "scary" ghost stories...the kids stories were so funny and mostly just a variation of a story that Benson or I told :). Last but not least (this was my favorite)...Nate and I said goodnight and I tucked him into his bed while I get to sleep in my own bed and Benson, Sammy, and Ben are camping in the backyard...my idea of a good camp out!

What a fun cute idea. I myself am not a camper either. We would go to father daughter outings and do the same thing. Stay for activities then back to the hotel room. YAY
how fun! I hope they last all night!

Okay this is so funny because I think Debbie's fam was camping out tonight and Jer and Maya are sleeping in a tent in the loft. Crazy!
That's hilarious. I like that idea of the kids camping and you in your comfy bed.

Hahaha! Kevin claims that Girl's Camp can NOT even be considered camping because we had showers, toilets and cabins. Hmmmm...I beg to differ!
haha...i was cracking up reading this. that's pretty much my dad's idea of a good camp out too...my husband thinks my family is crazy because they don't camp!
Hey Kyle! Todd and I live in Maricopa now. We have for the past 2 years. We're doing great. We have 2 cute boys (which you can see on our blog). It's been a long time! What do you do during the day? Maybe we can get together for lunch soon???
