Lately, the kids have been so into doing chores that I have had to get creative. So today we washed and
vacuumed my van! The kids had so much fun! I haven't washed my car in so long (me personally...I am usually lazy and take it to the car wash)! But I am trying to teach my kids to do chores and it seemed fun to jazz it up a little and have a car wash!
After we washed the van we decided to give their "cars" a little wash too! So their bikes and scooters also got
spiffed up!
To reward them for all their work we decided to bake some cookies! I know it makes a huge mess but I love to bake with my kids. We get the step stool out they take turns helping me measure and dump the ingredients! I have been craving chocolate chip cookies. My friend posted a recipe on her blog the other day PLUS a recipe blog I contribute to has a theme of chocolate chip cookies this month (if you are looking to try a new recipe check out the polka dot aprons blog link on my side bar)..so needless to say I have had cookies on the mind!

Mmmm...warm chocolate chip cookies. Yum. My favorite treat in the world--As long as there is milk. Way to go with the chores, Mom. It takes a lot of effort on your part, so bravo. P.s. I am sorry you missed my whoopsie daisy at enrichment, too. I could have used your laughter, believe me!

Did you try Laurel's cookie recipe? If so I want to hear about it. 1 lb of butter ...it should be good.
Ok, so now I feel the need to go downstairs and start baking some chocolate chip cookies. Not the best post to read on Fast Sunday morning... :)
