Spring Break...here we come!

Today was Ben's 1st day of Spring Break and Sammy's last day of school before Spring Break...her class was having an Easter Egg hunt so I decided to take the boys to that. Probably a bad idea considering it was just for Sammy's class and the boys couldn't get any eggs...guess I should have thought that through a little..but they survived! To make it up to them I took them to a "NEW" park (its not really new...we have just never been there) to have lunch with Maya. The weather has been so nice and I know it is just going to get miserable so I have to enjoy it while I can. Although, we decided it was time to go because Nathan would not stop EATING the sand...shouldn't he be too old for that now??
I am so excited for Spring Break...no carpools, no bus stops, no homework, no dance, no music, no gymnastics, no playgroups, no mutual (although Benson was just released from Scouts so no more mutual for us for a while), NO SCHEDULES!! The only thing I have planned is an afternoon out with my sisters!!!Sammy and Ben at the Easter Egg Hunt!

Sammy's class opening their eggs.Ben, Maya, and Sammy playing fire fighters

Nathan before he ate his SAND...grrr, what am I going to do with this kid??

Hey Kyle! What school was the egg hunt at? I'll tell you why after I find out!

I know what you mean about no schedules. This week has been so nice no alarm clocks, no bed times it's been great! It is just the right amount of time.

Kyle, I'm so sorry! I totally didn't think of that (what you told me in my blog)!

Okay, so maybe D or you have mentioned where you live, but I guess I didn't remember it being where WE used to live...how cool!

We don't go to Easter egg hunts here...it's lame.

LoL! I don't know...I think this talking in code is kind of neat!

Yes, I recognized a few things in two pictures and because that's where we used to live, I wanted to know if I was spot on!

Here's how I could tell: On the first picture, the one with Sammy and Ben at the hunt, I noticed the playground in sort of "cornered" by the building. I remembered when Hayden was in Kindergarten there, the entrance/exit for the little guys was the one you see in the picture, and then there's the big old playground right there. Also, (you're gonna laugh) the tree in the picture. They were just baby trees when we went there (Hayden was in the first K class after the school was built), and now the tree looks vaguely juvenile!

Second thing: The park you were at...the picture of Nathan on the yellow thing. They used to have Easter egg hunts at that park, right after it opened, at see that jungle gym on the right, behind him? Porter found a Super Egg up in that (there used to be a telescope thingy...it was in that) and he got movie tickets! Also, just the layout with the swingset over there, and then the yellow thingy! I just remember the boys playing on it.

Crazy, I know...I could even tell you about the layout of the park that you DON'T see in the picture!

Anyway, I guess we've cleared up the mystery! Looks gorgeous there, in AZ...Oh, and yes, people do have easter egg hunts here, but it's so sporadic. Plus, it always rains in the spring, so they are always washouts! Even our Primary isn't having one this year. Maybe we'll head over to the Lutheran church's!!
