DON'T CALL CPS, PLEASE!
So, today I was volunteering in the kids classrooms...I walk into Ben's class and his teacher bustles over as quickly as possible and says to me " Ben just told us his dad beats him"...my eyes were as big as saucers and my jaw drops to the floor...I say "he said WHAT??" mind you there are 3 teachers in there...teacher, aide, and speech therapist so they ALL heard this and they have never met Benson before so they don't know he is the most mild mannered guy in the world!! She said "we were talking about different foods we eat and he just plain as day says 'my dad beats me" I say, "Ben do you mean your dad beats you when you eat your chicken!" Ben says "Yeah, he always beats me!" You see we always have little "races" in our house to eat our dinner because Ben has a hard time eating (see Aunt Jawsy post) and Benson always tells little Ben that he will "beat" him by eating his dinner faster than Ben...I guess we should change the term to "daddy wins"! I am SOO glad I came to volunteer today so I could get that worked out...otherwise I am sure CPS would be knocking on my door!

Hey... I just made your Sweet Pork Recipe- Super Yummy! We don't have Costa Vida/Cafe Rio out here so it filled a craving that has been around since pregnancy. Thanks for posting it!
That is hillarous!!! The cute things kids will say...I would have been sweating bullets!!!
That is so funny! I love those kind of stories. Kids do say the craziest things.
That exact same thing happened to me. Except we say that when racing to get buckled to the car "mommy is going to beat you!" - and lacy said it in nursery! dang kids!
That is so funny. I am definitely glad you got things straightened out. :)
Too funny! Glad they didn't turn you in!
Stop. it. That is hysterical! But I'm still calling CPS...just kidding!
This is so hilarious, I guess we have to be more careful what we say around our kids! You have the cutest little family, I am sure you are staying busy and having a lot of fun being Mom!
Oh My Gosh- that is hysterical! Can you imagine if Benson had been in the calss that day? He would be sooooo embarrassed.
Hi Kyle! I just found your blog through Colette's and had to comment on this store. How funny! I definitely am going to have to work on what phrases I use. You never know what kids will say!
