Today, Sammy and Ben had Field Day at school. Sammy was so EXCITED to wear her swimsuit to school...I don' think she cared what she was doing! Ben, on the other hand, was NOT excited about Field Day and I couldn't figure out why until this morning he ask me if I was going to Field Day and I told him that I was planning it but Nathan was being cranky so we will see..then he ask, "Will Sammy help me?" and I said, "I'm not sure." He then said the most heartbreaking thing, "Mom, will you please come? I don't want to lay on the bottom of the pool." Oh, I felt so sad I couldn't believe that he had been so scared he was going to drown...I explained to him that they weren't going swimming just playing water games..he was still nervous so I promised him I would come to help him. So, when the time came I packed up my screaming 2 year old (don't ask me why he was screaming because I DON'T KNOW..but we were at school for 2 hours and he cried the ENTIRE time!) and we went to Field Day! The kids had so much fun even though they were freezing!

After Field Day I took the kids to the book fair at the school and let them each pick a new book...Nathan picked a train book (of course), Ben picked a color book that he liked because it had a magnify glass with it, and Sammy picked a Fancy Nancy book (of course..I love the Fancy Nancy books!)

What a good mom to go to Field Day! Lucky for you it was only in the 80s. I guess that would explain why the kids were all freezing.
