The Next Generation

Sometimes, I really want to move away from Arizona...just to experience something different and live in a NEW place! But, then I have weeks like this and it is just so much fun to be able to see my lifelong friends and see our kids now play together... Allee is Benson's friend, Lance's little girl...Sammy and Allee are such good friends. We went to their house for family night last night! The highlight of Sammy's night was that while she was eating this ice cream cone she got her FIRST loose tooth! Very exciting! She has ask me like 100 times what the tooth fairy will bring her I told her "I don't know probably a quarter" and she said "I think she will bring a dollar"... I guess, we will see what she decides! (any suggestions??) For lunch today I met up with my good friend from High School Jacque (Jess was supposed to come too..but long story) anyway, it was so much fun to see how well our kids played together. Sammy and Lexi held hands the whole time and Ben and Makenna played cute together too (I'm sensing a love match..just kidding)!
After lunch, we came home and the kids played in the rain...how weird was it that it was cold and rainy today??? I had no idea that the weather was changing and this morning when I was getting my kids to school Sammy said "Mom, I'm cold can I wear my coat?" I was such a nice mom and said "Are you kidding? We live in Arizona and its MAY..no, you cannot wear your coat!" Little did I know, it was a little cold today...I know I am Mother of the Year!

I love that rain picture! When it started raining and there was loud thunder, both of my kids came running for me! They never hear that!! I thought to myself, "I bet the Bashford kids are playing in the rain." And you were! :)

We give a dollar, but I remember Macey telling me that some of her friends get$5! Our tooth fairy is not that rich! I am so bad I always forget to do it so I had to make sign that they hang on the door for the tooth fairy to stop here. I loved the weather yesterday-those are my favorite days.

I would especially give a dollar on the 1st tooth. And yes, some tooth fairies are very rich. Ours has been out of work for a while. The last tooth Lincoln lost, he didnt even bother with. I would have told my kids the same thing if they asked for a coat and I did know that the weather was changing and that it was going to be cooler and rainy. I am mother of the year.

Kinsley slept right through the rain & thunder! I sat there alone, reading a book with the windows open & loving it! Relaxation moment!

I heard of a tooth fairy that gave silver dollars. I thought that was pretty cool...maybe our tooth fairy will do that. I really like that idea of a sign that says "tooth fairy stop here" I know we'll be needing that!

Sorry, but you don't get mother of the year...I get it. As I typed this I looked over and my son was drinking syrup.
