Making Jam
Sammy, Ben, and I have been busy making jam. This has been a tradition in our family since Benson and I were first married...Benson is a "jam snob" and thinks he can only eat homemade jam. So, every year I end up making about 20 jars of jam for our year supply. The kids love to help and by the end, we are all a sticky mess!

Last night, Sammy and I went to the grocery store to buy all of our jam supplies and she spotted a bag of GIGANTIC marshmallows. She, of course, wanted them and I told her no. Then we were checking out and the lady behind us was buying them and our cashier was going on and on about how much her kids would love those and blah, blah, blah...so I felt peer pressured and I bought a bag, too. My kids think they are the coolest thing ever...seriously, have you ever seen such HUGE marshmallows?

I make jam every year too...homemade is the best. I should let my kids help me this time, it looks like your kids enjoy it. I've never seen such large marshmallows! I'm definitely going to find some and make those treats Melody made. My kids will love me!
Those marshmallows are huge! Your so good to make jam for your husband. My family loves it I just need to find sometime to do it. I also love the story abut the Pickle name! Ben is too cute.
My kids LOVE LOVE LOVE marshmallows that is why I knew the kids would like those things I made. It is something about fluffy gooey sugar, mmmmm! just kidding I do not really dig marshmallows but I am sure I loved them when I was a kid. I love jam though-I am way to intimidated to try it on my own though. Kyle you are way talented with all that you can do!
Jordan is a total jam snot too. His mom makes amazing apricot jam every year and he grew up thinking that was normal. My freezer jam isn't quite the same but oh well. He knew what he was getting when he married me!
Thanks for the nursery idea. That is super cute!
OK where did you get those marshmellows! I want some!
Teach me how to make Jam! I have NO idea!! :)
I've got to get some of those marshmallows! Marshmallows are Colette's absolute favorite treat (which I don't really get). Anyway, it looks like you guys had a lot of fun making jam!
Wow! Those are some big marshmallows! I bet that jam is pretty yummy -- that's great that your kids get to help, too! :)
How much do you charge? JK
I love home made jam! YUM!! :)

Those marshmallows are huge! I have never seen those. I need to make jam too. I think I ran out about a year ago:)
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Kyle, Happy Birthday to you!!!
Happy Birthday!! I think you need to also teach how to make homemade jam along with your mommy activities!! When is that activity again?
Happy Birthay! I saw those at the science fair last week. I thought they had done something to them to make them so huge. I am glad to know that they can be purchased that way.
After we went to Lake Powell with you guys and you had your delish jam there and said that it really wasn't that difficult, you inspired me. I tried it right after we got back and have been making it as a tradition ever since. Thanks so much for the inspiration! Michael thanks you too and has since also beome a "Jam Snob!" As for the triathlons, they're also going to have one in Rocky Point in October for the first time. The weather down there in Oct. is amazing so I think we're going to plan on going. Wanna come???
YUM! I love homemade jam. Tell Benson to quit being such a snob! Haha.
