Lake Powell!!

Benson and I went to Lake Powell for 6 days with the Dirtbags (aka Bensons High School Friends). This was our 6th annual trip and maybe the best one yet! For the record, I am not a huge lake person... Benson LIVES for Lake Powell...I am much more of a HOTEL (make it a resort) kind of gal...there is just something about being able to SHOWER (not wash my hair in the lake...gross), sleep in a real bed (not a mat), and have someone make your bed and wash your towels (instead of using the same gross towel) everyday that makes a vacation worth it to me. ..call me spoiled but I grew up in a family that we stayed in a hotel for our ward campouts so I am not an experienced camper! Anyway, after 9 years of marriage I am finally getting the hang of this lake thing and I have to say... We had so much FUN! Lots of laughs, wakeboarding, skiing, surfing, canyon exploring, tubing, hiking, swimming, cliff jumping, playing games, watching movies, eating, and having dance party's on the boat (my favorite part)! So many funny things were happening that we finally started writing them down so we wouldn't forget... we made so many memories! It was so nice to be able to relax and hang out with Benson and not have to take care of any kids (a big thank you to both of our parents for watching the kids so we could go on this amazing trip)! We didn't get nearly enough sleep and I am so tired now but it was so much fun and totally worth it! This was a trip I will never forget! We are so lucky to have such amazing friends! Kyle wakeboarding (the water was so cold and I am so glad I let Lance and Marcee talk me in to getting a wetsuit...BEST INVESTMENT I EVER MADE!)...I'm no pro but this was definitely my best wakeboarding trip! It is so much fun to wakeboard especially when you don't EAT THE WATER over and over! Ha!
