Alright, I need some book recommendations for my boys! I love to read and I have instilled a love of reading in my kids! They LOVE to sit and read with me. I have so many cute girl books (
ie Olivia,
Pinkalicious, and of course Fancy Nancy) but I am looking for some books that my boys will love...they are totally into trucks, trains, pirates, dinosaurs, etc. I feel like I have some books that deal with this topic but I am looking for the super cute books like the girls have but for boys...does anyone know what I am talking about? Anyway, give me your ideas...please!

I thought Noah was way too old for this, but Jeff bought him a really nice dinosaur dictionary book a year or two ago, and he has me read to him about the dinosaurs he thinks look cool. And now that he's starting to read, he gets really excited when HE can tell ME about the Parasauropholous himself, it's not as fun as "Fancy Nancy" but HE loves it, so thats whats important.
I meant to say I thought Noah was way too YOUNG for that book!
Some of the old-school books we had around my house growing up come to mind, like "Cars and Trucks and Things That Go", "Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel", and "The Little Engine That Could". Have you already heard of the "How Do Dinosaurs" series? Also, slightly off-topic, but "Skippyjon Jones" and "Officer Buckle and Gloria" are great for boys. I'll be interested to see what other replies you get!
Right now Kyler is into dinosaur books, insect books,Berenstein Bears, and Magic School Bus. I go to Bookman's and let him pick books out for a fraction of the cost.
One day he picked out National Geographic!!!
These are not really boy or girl, but I love the If you give a pig a pancake or moose a muffin books. We also have How do Dinosaurs say good night? it is late I will think of more later.
Kyle-
I have a preschool speech curriculum manual that is children's literature based if you are interested on stuff for Ben over the summer, called Once Upon a Sound. I love it! It uses several classic children's books and it is centered around different sound(s) that the child is working on. It has some fun activities and craft/coloring pages. I can email you the list of books and the sound that is being targeted.
I'm sorry but I don't have any suggestions. All we have are girly book too. Poor Choncho!!!
It's not easy finding boy books. Luke loves Magic School Bus, Carson loves Curious George, they both love the Junie B. Jones books (but that's a GIRL). I'm going to check back to see if you find some good boy books...we're in need!
Totally off your topic Kyle, but I've got a question about the whole adding pictures with captions. Are you uploading them onto blogger? Cause when I do that, I don't know how to add them to my post. They just automatically post to the side of my page...just like the one with your family in the snow and the one above... :(
When I am back in town you can come over and borrow some books to see if you like them. I have 100s of kids' books because I love them. Call me later this summer.
