1 1/2 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 (14 oz) bottle maraschino cherries chopped (save juice)
Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, and soda together. Add sugar and shortening and egg mixture. Add chopped cherries. Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes.
Frosting: Mix cherry juice, 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 cube butter add powdered sugar one cup at a time, until desired consistency.
(The frosting recipe seemed HUGE to me so I didn't make the full recipe...I probably did like 2/3 of this recipe and had PLENTY of frosting!)

That DOES look good! I think we'll make these. Thanks for posting!
I'm not crazy about cherries, but the picture makes them look yummy! (poor Kyra... I hope she didn't get her feelings hurt!) ;)
Hey, thanks for the recipe! What girl doesn't love pink? I may have to try them!
Those look SOOOOOO good. And not even just because they are pink. :)
Looks Tasty!! I love pink cookies. Thanks for the recipe.
YUMMM that sounds so good. Can I come over for some?
Delish! I think I'll let my boys make these tonight. Don't tell anyone I let my boys make pink cookies. "Jonah's Pink Cookies" is not a phrase I want out in the public.
Mmmmm. Those look yummy. Maybe next time we get together we can make some.
