Lake Powell with the Bashford's

After the cabin we went to Lake Powell (we left Nate at the cabin with Gramma...thanks mom) with Benson's side of the family for the 4th of July weekend. Sammy and Ben loved riding on the boat
Sammy loved the Ski Skimmer (its like a horseshoe type ski). She was really good at it too (which made her daddy happy)!

Uncle Brad helping Ben get started on the ski skimmer

Ben loved the jet skis....he would scream (with excitement) the entire time! He always wanted to go FASTER!

Hannah, Pyper, and Sammy getting ready to go on the tube

Luke, Ben, Pyper, Sammy and Taryn....telling stories before bed.

Maile, Papa, and Ben on the jet ski

Sammy and Ben with their Nana
Perilynn (Benson's sister) planned this whole Fear Factor competition....it was so cute and all the kids loved it. Ben and Sammy had to eat bugs out of the mud without using their hands (pudding and fake bugs).

Ben loves his cousin Bryce.
4th of July....we had our own fireworks (as did the rest of the lake). Its so fun (and sort of scary) to watch the fireworks on the lake.

One of Ben's favorite things about Lake Powell...his Uncle Troy!

I told Ben to watch for Daddy to come back and he grabbed the binoculars and watched the water...silly kid!

Sammy tried hard to get up on double skis...maybe next year! I was so proud of her for trying though...doesn't she look cute?

Ben fishing with no help (he was very insistent on NO help)

Sammy fishing off the back of the houseboat

We had a blast at Lake Powell...I didn't get a whole group shot but we had almost 50 people there. The kids loved playing with their cousins, playing in the water, and sleeping under the stars!

Your family is always doing fun things!

So I've had the Ingrid Michaelson song in my head for such a long time, but could not figure out where I'd heard it! It was driving me crazy! Now I have to go buy her CD.

Seriously. That's so not fair...2 trips for you this summer?!@@# I'm not going to lie...I'm a little ticked right now! It doesn't help that my hubby is there right now with the priests from our ward. Punk. It seems that your kids are natural "lakers" and you have finally given in! So dang fun! I also can't believe how many people were in your group! Crazy big mormon families! Gotta LOVE them!
