Wow, we have been busy! We started off last weekend (June 27th) heading to Gramma's cabin in ShowLow...I have so many pictures I decided to break up my posts a little (because we also went to Lake Powell this week)...We had so much fun and it was so nice to get away for a while!

Friday night the boys wanted to sleep in the same bed...you can tell by the way Nate is "sleeping" that this didn't last too long!

Saturday morning, we took the kids on a hike at our favorite spot and had a picnic. Ben loves to walk on all the fallen over trees!

Nate, Ben, and Sammy taking a little break!

Sammy is such a good helper and loved to help Nate on the hike...isn't this picture so cute???

We finally made it to the river. Ben and Nate LOVE to throw rocks (it seriously might be their favorite thing)!

The water was pretty cold but the kids really wanted to stick their feet in the water! Isn't the scenery so pretty?

Sunday we made bird feeders with all the
pine cones we collected on our hike. The kids thought this was so much fun!

Sammy and Ben making bird feeders (oops I mixed up the pics...sorry)!

Then we decided to go back to the river and we found this log bridge...all the kids wanted a turn to cross it with Daddy!

On Sunday afternoon...it started to HAIL! I couldn't believe it...

So, we played
Wii all afternoon!

And we painted lots of rocks!

Then Daddy had to go home so he could go to work (I guess someone in this family has to). I stayed with the kids (who wants to be in the valley in July anyways?) and
Gramma and the
Merrill's came up...stay tuned for that half of the trip :)

I want to wear a sweatshirt....Sounds like a blast!!!
How fun - can't wait to see Part 2. And yes, I am considering becoming a snowbird - we are not too young!!! :)
Ah...sigh...beautiful AZ pics! I can't believe how many people, especially back east, think AZ is all gravel and cactus (not that there isn't quite a bit of that, of course)! I just love all the tall pines up in northern AZ -- glad y'all got to be out enjoying it! :)
Looks like some fun memories!
We sold our cabin in Pinetop in January and I am SOOO missing it right now! This looks like such an aweosme trip! I bet it was great getting out of this heat. Very jealous!
It is so pretty up there. What a fun way to spend part of the summer!
