With a start like this...it's going to be a good day!
Almost every morning...Nate wakes me up! Sometimes I wake up and he is asleep in my bed with me. Benson leaves for work early in the morning and if Nate hears him leave he likes to come and take his spot in bed. This morning I wake up and turn around and find Nate sound asleep with a pirate eye patch on...I guess he made a pit stop to the dress up box on his way to my bed! When he woke up he said "Mom, I'm pirate treasure" Seriously, what a good way to wake up...I was totally cracking up!

That is too cute! Little boys are so much fun.
My cousin made up this whole story about the "binky fairy". It worked for her little girl. As part of turning 3 (because once you turn three, you're too grown up for a binky!) she would have to leave her binky in a special place for the binky fairy to pick up in the middle of the night. The fairy would leave a little present in return and give the binky to another kid somewhere else to use. She talked it up for weeks before the actually event, preparing her daughter for the separation. It worked pretty well. The first few days after, she had to remind her daughter about the other kids that needed binkies in the world. But, within a short while her daughter was totally binky free and fine. Creative, no?

As far as getting rid of the binki, Maya broke the tip off of hers herself so that was great. Can you rig it so it will break easy?! :)
That is adorable! I love little boys! No tips on the binky...I was never lucky enough to get any of my babies to take one:( Playgroup looks like it was a hit...although my nephew looks a little angry playing with his playdough...too cute!
that is funny! And I told you what we did with Masons binky...it worked SOOOO good. (put them in Build a bear and then let him sleep with the bear) Breaking it, cutting it, all that didnt do a thing, but the Build a Bear was GREAT!

We did it cold turkey..they seriously forget about it in 2 days..And my kids were ADDICTED!
I think that is very cute. We try to get Payten to sleep with us once and a while and she absolutely will NOT. She will only sleep in her bed. She will even cry to go to bed. Sometimes I just want my little baby to sleep next to me!! The Binki, well he could have worse habbits right?!?!
That is so cute! I love that he has Woody right there with him! With all my kids we just cut them and then gave them back. They had no desire for them after that!
What a cute picture! You need to leave the binky at our house. Colby leaving his binky at your house was the best thing that ever happened.
Awwww, little boys just LOVE their moms!!!
I cut the tips off my boys and they hated it. I pretended I didn't know what happened and they just thought they were "broken" and we easily threw them away. Although, they were younger, so at 3, I don't know if you can get by with that without being labeled the guilty party!

This is from my friend....To get rid of the binky she put her girl in the car and drove around for a bit, while explaining she was too old the the binky and need to be a big girl. Then they rolled down the window (while the car was still moving) and her little girl threw the binky out the window and then it was gone forever. Funny I know. But the action of getting ride of the binky was done by the child not the parent. Her little girl never ask for the binky again because she knew it was gone. After chucking the binky out the window they went and got ice cream to help with the lost.
He is a pirate treasure!! Those little moments are priceless and start the day off just right!!
