Ben was excited to see his friend and cousin Mason and they were able to hang out a little bit..
They also had pony rides. Ben rode "Geronimo" and was very amused by the horse pooping.
And Sammy rode "Red Cloud"
All week Sammy kept "advertising" the carnival to us and kept saying..."you can make your own ice cream". She was very excited about this...trouble is Benson makes really yummy ice cream and he customizes the flavor for the kids (our favorite is Rocky Road) so Sammy and Ben go to the ice cream making booth and were trying to "order" their flavor of homemade ice cream...they were very disappointed that vanilla was the only option.
But they still had fun and ate it anyway :)
There was also a rock climbing wall...we waited in line forever for this and I kept wondering if they would really even do it (I'm a scaredy cat) so I kept telling them they didn't need to go to the top but I really wanted them to try it since we waited so long.
Ben almost made it to the top than I called his name so I could get a picture...once he looked down he got scared and wanted to come back down.
Sammy climbed the wall with no shoes on and made it to the very top...
She wasn't scared at all...when she was almost to the top she started coming back down and I yelled "no go to the top" (I know I told her she didn't have to go to the top but she was so close so I didn't want her to quit) so she did...all the people in line kept saying "look at that little girl...she's so little to go so high"
She made it to the top! I couldn't believe it!

This looks like so much fun. Good job, Sammy, for climbing to the top. It does look really high! I think it's cute that Benson makes "special order" ice cream and they were trying to get some.
We are coming to visit this week! We need to make our plans now because we've got lots of things going on. How about Friday or Saturday night? Can't wait!

holy heck that looks like some carnival, not like what i remember growing up. looks like fun. i think we are going to the park today at like 2 or 3 if you want to go.
hey! that is a pretty amazing carnival. i haven't checked in your blog in forever cause you weren't on my reader since you changed to private and i was wondering why you hadn't updated! then i remembered you changed. HELLO! i'm a little slow. but i'm all caught up now. hooray for the day Lucy comes!
I can't believe your kids went to the top of that thing! Too bad Benson was sleeping at home and didn't get to see that:) Is he going to make homemade ice cream for game night? I love the name Lucy by the way and I can't believe how awesome those 3D pictures are...she is adorable!
Looks like fun. Brave little souls! My girls are fraidy-cats like me but Noah would have been all over that!

Did I know you moved out to Augusta Ranch? My sister-in-law lives across the field from the school and her 2 kids go there -- a kindergartener and a 5th grader. Does Ben know a little girl named Eden Smith?
