This was my first snow storm and I thought the snow was so beautiful!
The cabin has a huge bush and when it's covered in snow it was perfect for the kids to climb and sled down...

The kids loved sledding so much at my parents cabin that we decided to take them to a cinder pit Benson had heard about near my parents cabin on Saturday. We packed up and drove to it...only the kids HATED it! They were so cold (the temperature gauge on Benson's car said 6 degrees) they cried the WHOLE time...so we only got one picture! We will have to remember this place another time when it is a tad bit warmer! Benson and Sammy racing down the big hill!
Back at the cabin after naps and the weather heating up a bit they were happy again...Nate LOVED eating the snow (what doesn't he like eating?)

Other than playing in the snow we hung out and watched movies and drank LOTS of hot cocoa... I thought Ben would get sick from it, but no! He loved it!
And of course they loved to hang out by the fire!

I know wasn't it just freezing. I thought that my hands were going to fall off. The kids had alot of fun though and thats all that matters.
how fun..we should of gone up. i just wanted to get my Christmas DOWN here.
That looks like so much fun! We actually just went to the mountains and played in the snow. But it looks fun to have a warm place to stay during a snow storm!! The picture of your daughter in the red jacket is so cute, I also like your header pic. Happy New Year!

Oh my goodness! Your first snow storm...I almost forgot! It's so beautiful. Your kids looks like they are having a blast. I wish we could have gone with you guys.
BTW, Benson says we always ditch out on Lake Powell but I think we only got invited once. And I can't help that John's been in school for a decade. (Next year we want to come okay?)

Sounds like we all had fun in the snow last week! That is hilarious that you were sledding down a bush!!! We were out of town when you called for Alyssa...let's get the girls together soon! Thrifty's maybe???
Kyle, your family is adorable!!! We went to my family's cabin in Heber to play in the snow on the same weekend. Saturday was freezing. It looks like you had tons of fun. You are such a great blogger!!! Congrats on your new soon to be addition.

That looks like so much fun. Too bad they didn't like sleding at the cinder pit, their has been many time I have taken my kids to do something "fun" to only have it turn in to be a nightmare experience.
