So, Benson has been bugging me about cleaning Samantha's closet and dresser...mainly because I was out of town and he discovered that she has lots of clothes that don't fit her anymore and he was frustrated. I haven't had any energy lately but yesterday I woke up feeling good and decided to go through her clothes...everything was fine and dandy and I started thinking "I haven't bought Sammy church shoes in a really long time" I couldn't remember the last time...so I decide to go through her shoes as well...size 9's! What? I think she is an 11...NOT A NINE! She didn't only have one pair of size nines but SEVERAL..shoes that she wears to school and church regularly. She does have some shoes that fit so I am not torturing her EVERYDAY! I check Nate and Ben's shoes..yep, they have size 11! (side note: can you believe all of my kids have the same size shoe? They also all weigh the same...weird) I think more...the last time I bought Sammy church shoes I am pretty sure we were living in our old house...2 years ago!!! I call Benson with my news...Sammy needs new shoes. He says "well, she loves wearing those huge shoes that you have for her but those are too big" (she has some hand me down shoes that are WAY too big but she loves to wear them) The guilt seeps in more "She is probably wearing the huge shoes because her other shoes are too tight"! Sammy never complains...she has never once said that her shoes were too tight AND she puts her own shoes on so I never really checked them!! When she got home I ask Sammy..."do your shoes hurt your feet" and she said "sort of"!
Today I was a woman on a mission...I headed to Target to buy her some shoes...on my way there I was on the phone with my good friend Britany and I tell her my shoe sob story and she says "Kyle, that is borderline child neglect"! I marched into Target and bought 2 pairs of shoes...I can't wait to show her when she gets home today!

Hello mother of 3 and 1/2 kids! You are a busy mom with lots to remember, if Sammy's not being a sqeaky wheel...well she might not get new shoes! Ya know? You just need to raise whinny kids like me! No pic's of the new shoes?
What a happy day for Sammy!!
And don't worry - I won't report you for neglect :).
Exactly, mother of 3 1/2 kids . . . you're busy being a great mother in other areas. So you forget feet. I only have one to look after and I'm always shopping and walking in the shoe aisle FOR MYSELF!
Stella's Sunday School teacher told me that she thought Stella's shoes were too small because she kept taking them off during class. I was like, "Oh, please, she just doesn't like wearing shoes unless they are princess shoes." But she was totally right and was justified in whatever "bad mommy" comments she may have had floating around in her head!
WOW! What would I do with a easy going laid back child like Sammy?!? She is SOOO SWEET!!! Poor girl NEVER complains about ANYTHING!!!!! :)
I like " my GOOD friend Britany" in case we wondered if you were SORTA friends or not :)
poor girl, where does she get the QUIET side from??? not you :) kidding..
no you dont need to change it, Im kidding with you :) I like to give you a hard time!
Wait..weren't you just shopping for 4 days in minesotta!! And no shoes ???? :)
Email me and tell me what you got!
Kyle (in response to your question) - I'm in the FREE PICTURES mode right now because I'm not using my own camera because I don't have one (using my cousins). I'm just practicing my photog skills to see if Elliot will let me spend a buttload of money to get my own camera. I have the camera until next Wednesday morn. Call me 480-668-7523.
How do you get a daughter like that? Is there a special trick? What a sweet angel. That is an easy thing to overlook. Especially if she doesn't say anything, and she puts her own shoes on.
They just grow too darn quickly!
What a sweet little girl!
