"My TEACHER said"

Lately, Ben has been telling me lots of things his teacher said...some of them are normal like...
"my teacher says my name starts with a B" (like I've never told him that before)
or "my teacher says my shirt is blue" or whatever...but now he tells me things his teacher says that seem a little suspicious like...
"my teacher says I need to wear my soccer shirt and cleats today"
"my teacher says I don't need to eat lunch before school"
"my teacher says I can't wear that shirt because it's too fancy"
"my teacher says I need to go to Kindergarten next week"
"my teacher says I need to go on a camp out"
"my teacher says I can't go to swim lessons today"
or my personal favorite..."my teacher says I need a new Transformers backpack!"

It seems really convenient all the things the teacher wants him to do, right?

that is my kind of kid, that sounds exactly like me when I was younger. Was that the mesa museum your kids went to? Oh and I have 2 other sisters who have loans with countrywide and one got a letter and the other didn't so i am assuming that if you didn't get a letter than you are not affected...lucky girl.

Hey, at least he realizes the power and importance of a teacher- too bad he doesn't yet realize that MOM trumps everything!

I hope you wrote this down for posterity!! Very cute!

That is hilarious! I'd forgotten about his, but when Ryan started first grade, he would tell me that his teacher told everyone they HAD to buy school lunch the next day...yeah right. I love the list of things Ben uses that line for...so clever!

Kyle,
I finally thought of a really funny memory and I don't know if you check old entry comments (non-blogger:}) But anyway, I was reading an old letter from Dave when he was on his mission and it said " GO ICE CREAM, GO ICE CREAM, GO!" Do you remember singing that chant when we wanted Thrify ice cream?! So many fun times!

Hmm...I'm going to give this a try. Like right now MY teacher says I need to take a nap. Do you think Griff will fall for it?

Thanks for sharing your blog! Cute family. It's true, they grow up wayyy to fast!! It's so funny the things the kids say, and how smart they are. They think they can trick us, though!

Hey there. The estimated close date for this house is October 6th. We'll likely move the weekend before. We are still not sure where we are going - probably somewhere near Cooper/Guad or Power/McDowell. Yes, they are two very different locations but both very close to freeways that Jordan can zoom to work on. We'll see what happens... :)

You better listen to his teacher! Some of those teachers are quite demanding! What a cutie he is.
