I forgot that I don't like Football!

So, I don't know if I thought I liked football or if its just that the Super Bowl was in Arizona this year or what...but I found myself a little bit excited for the big game. I spent hours (okay not really HOURS) thinking about what we were going to eat and I imagined my little family snacking on food and sitting around to watch the game. But as we got home from church and I was preparing our dinner and snacks I remembered...I don't even like football. Benson, of course, loves it. I have gone to several football games with Benson and the whole time he is so into the game that I can't even talk to him...boring! In fact, one time in the early years of our marriage, Benson and I went to a football game and I was talking to him and he turns to me and says (in a not so nice voice) "you made me miss that snap!" I know you think I am exaggerating because you can't imagine Benson talking to me that way...but I tell you it was borderline yelling. AND I didn't know how to tell him that I didn't even know what he was talking about because I don't know what a snap is...(I now know because he has since explained to me)...but needless to say I am at the edge of my seat at every sporting event because all I want to do is talk (surprising I know) and Benson just wants to watch the game! Is there anyone else out there that doesn't really give a crap about football?
On a good note...I did make some really good food...here are my 2 favorite recipes of the night..

Sweet Pork (Costa Vida Style)
1 pork roast
garlic salt (to taste)
1 cup ketchup
1 can of coke
1 cup brown sugar
Cook roast and garlic salt in crock pot for 6-8 hours (or overnight). Shred pork and add additional ingredients. Cook on low for 2-3 hours. It was super yummy.

Fruit dip
1 8oz Cream cheese
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Mix together and serve with fresh fruit.
So the game is still on...I have long lost interest and I am super full from all the good eating. So I guess I am happy with that.

Oh and I like watching football when it gets to an intense part, but otherwise I like to talk instead.

I hate football too! What is it about a bunch of big men tackling each other that is entertaining? For some reason I was interested in it this year too!
Thats funny I made BBQ beef and fruit dip too!

So, I am totally with you on the football thing. I always tell Ryan, if I could wish away anything in this world, it would be football, of course after world hunger and crime and war. I still talk to Ryan while he is watching his games... he is very good at tuning me out... I still talk, though. The sweet pork recipe looks yummy. I will have to try it.
