Our SUPER nice hotel...right on the beach! I'm a girl that LOVES nice accommodations and this place was NICE! Plush towels, robes, slippers, heavenly beds, balcony with a view of the ocean...the works!
Right when we checked in..this was our view from our room!
The first night we hung out at the beach and listened to the Hawaiian music while we sipped our lava flows (virgin of course)
DAY TWO: we rented a jeep and drove to the North Shore...Benson spent most of the day looking for Chandlers house (from the movie North Shore...Benson's all time favorite movie and the movie we watched on our very first date!)
Our first stop was to see the temple...so, so pretty
Then we went snorkeling in Sharks Cove....SO MUCH FUN!! It was so amazing! We saw some amazing fish! We had an underwater camera...so I will have to get it developed (so weird to not have digital)!
After snorkeling we went to hike Waimea Falls...
took a little break under a tree
the waterfall...we went swimming and it was SOOO cold!

Benson really wants to buy a Jeep Wrangler...we compromised by letting him rent one for a day!
Then we headed over to Pipeline to watch the big waves and the surfers (we even saw the lifeguards rescue someone...I have no idea why she would decide to go for a swim)
We stopped by a little farmers market and got a coconut to drink...Benson decided to drink his in the jungle! 
Next stop...Dole Plantation

Why do I love these little cut out pics...I don't know! But I just think they are funny!
Then we headed back to the hotel for a quick shower...this is the sunset from our balcony!
And we went out to dinner with some of our friends, Eric and Wendi, that LIVE in Hawaii (oh, we are sooo jealous of them)! They took us to a really nice place for dinner (I have no idea what it is called) and then we walked down to a little french pastry place for dessert...super yummy!

Benson ALMOST started a fire...smoke but no fire! I gave up after 2 seconds of trying but he was very determined!!
The night show was pretty cool...probably the best part! If I ever go back again I would just go to that!

By this time we were SO EXHAUSTED...busy day and with the time change (3 hour difference...we were feeling it)!
DAY THREE: Polynesian Cultural Center...it was pretty cool! But I didn't LOVE it like I thought I would...I would definitely bring my kids there! But I guess just not what I was wanting to do on my vacation! And the food was SO GROSS!!!

DAY FOUR: That morning Benson went surfing with Eric while I did NOTHING at the hotel...just relaxed by the pool...so amazing! Then Benson called and he and Eric decided we would all go snorkeling! This was amazing! We saw so many sea turtles...it was so unreal to swim with them! Although, swimming in the middle of the ocean with little bit of a rough current felt a tinge life threatening to me...it was super awesome! We took lots of pics with our underwater camera...so I will have to post those later! It was seriously one of the best moments ever...

Sunset on our final night in Hawaii...so sad! We had the BEST vacation EVER! It was so much fun to celebrate our 10 year Anniversary (9 months late...but who's counting?)! It was a much needed break and we can't wait to go back!!

Looks like so much fun! I want to go so bad but my husband hates planes. We had one VERY BAD experience with terbulance and that has ruined him for life. I so remember Eric from my old ward right? I went water skiing with he and his family alot at their lake. Anyways hope my 10th is this much fun.
You stayed at the Mona Surfrider??? LOVE THAT PLACE...seriously the BEST hotel-ever! So old and yet kep up perfectly, did you have their yummy beef kabobs at the pool and pina coladas? I am SO jealous! Happy 10th!

Looks like a BLAST! I am so jeleous, we still haven't celebrated our 10 yet...maybe in 2012!(thats when residency is over) I am glad you had an amazing time and got a wonderful break from all of your mom and dad duties!
