On Sunday, June 7th...Benson gave Lucy a name and a blessing at church! It was eventful...before church she was happy and nodding off to sleep and Megan (my niece) was holding her right before church was starting...she started to get a little fussy so I took her and right away I noticed she was poopy...I grabbed my diaper bag and ran to change her before church started! I get started and there is poop EVERYWHERE...oh no, the opening song is already started! I take all her clothes off and I am wiping her down...the song is almost over and she is naked! I get her dressed, throw away her onsie...no time to clean up...and run in the the chapel just in time for Benson to take her! Needless to say...she cried through her blessing because she was kind of ticked that I woke her up to change her! Oh well!
Regardless, Benson gave her a really sweet blessing and it was such a special experience for our family! So she is officially Lucy Donna Bashford! Her Nana (that she is named after) bought her the blessing dress and my mom bought the flower for her hair! She looked adorable! I loved getting her dressed and seeing her in all white!
After her blessing we had a big family party to celebrate that and Benson's 32nd Birthday...what a memorable day!

Lucy looks gorgeous in her blessing dress! At least her dress didn't get ruined by her explosion!...Brooklyn exploded about 5 minutes after she was blessed and had to change into my emergency outfit in the diaper bag

She is SO cute! I had no idea there was so much drama before the blessing! Everything went very smooth from my point of view! Funny story though!

She is such a beautiful girl. What a great day. On days like that I don't think anything goes smoothly, but then you have those few minutes (Benson blessing Lucy)in the day that make it all worth while.
