First Grade Musical

Tonight Samantha had her 1st Grade Musical...this has been a big deal at our house for months! Samantha was so worried that I would be in the hospital and not able to make it to her performance! I really wanted to be there and luckily the baby cooperated (now that this musical is over...I'm done being pregnant so I am SO READY for this baby)! The title of the musical was "American Symbols" and they sang songs about America, the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, etc. The play was so freaking cute! The whole first grade...there are 7 1st grade classes at Samantha's school! I'm not sure how many kids there are but it seems like there are as many kids as my whole graduating class in High School!

Samantha had a little speaking part "And from the wreckage she was found and was hoisted high above the ground" (I thought those were some pretty hard words...especially since she doesn't have teeth) and she said it perfectly...the "she" is the American Flag that was hoisted above the ground after September 11th
Samantha is a born performer and she is singing her little heart out!

After the performance she really wanted to know if I got the goose bumps because she sang so well...she is so funny! I always get a little choked up when I see my kids perform...I am so proud of her!

Looks like she is belting out the song. She's got her momma's personality.

I can't believe you are still cookin!!!? I'm so excited for you guys, I can only imagine how ready you are. It is funny how you hope a baby cooperates with all the little performances - Ava has one May 23rd and then I figure I'm good to go! Glad you made it and now I will think labor for you!!! Will you not be mad at me if we name her Samantha?

There are so many expressions and pictures where your sweet Samantha looks so much like my Reese, or I should say my Reese looks like her! It's neat becasue it shows me a glimpse of what the future may hold...adorably beautiful! Now...any baby news? Keep us posted, girl! Those hospitals all pretty much have WIFI...so we'll be checking to see how everything goes! Good luck, sista!
